ORDER OF EVENTS (approximate times - subject to change) 

8:30 am - ID pick-up (coaches only) 

8:30 am - Doors open

9:00 am - Coaches Briefing 

9:15 am - Poomsae begins

11:30 am - Opening Ceremony 

1:00 pm - Sparring begins 

3:00 pm - Grand Prize Giveaway! (Samsung tablet, Round trip to South Korea, and many more!)

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO OFFICIAL BLACK BELT SPARRING ATHLETESOfficial Black Belt Sparring Weigh-In will be at the VANCOUVER AIRPORT MARRIOTT HOTEL beside the Whistler Room (7571 Westminster Hwy., Richmond) on October 7th, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  There will be chairs in the hallway for the sparring competitors to be seated while waiting.  Bring ID.

Out-of-town competitors still have the option to weigh in the morning of the tournament at the  Richmond Oval venue: 8:30 am to 9:00 am. Please note: Weigh-in is only required for official Black Belt categories in Senior, Junior, and Cadet.

EQUIPMENT

Chest protector, Head gear, Groin cup, Mouth guard (Clear or white only), Arm/Shin guards, and TKD uniform are mandatory.

Headgear colour must match the chest protector (white & black acceptable). All Official Black Belts will require Gloves and KP&P E-Socks. These will be available in limited quantities at the tournament venue.

SPARRING ROUNDS

Black Belts -Best of 3 rounds / 2 minutes

Colour Belts - Best of 3 rounds / 1 minute

The tournament committee reserves the right to change the number of rounds and/or duration as needed.

RULES

Current WT Rules Apply to the Official Black Belts

All colour belts & unofficial black belts- no head kicks allowed

Under 12 black belt - no head kicks allowed 

12 & up (cadet, junior, senior) - head kicks allowed
